Request the DPA↗Swedish-flagged vessels with any crew on board fall under TSFS 2021:80, the Swedish Transport Agency's regulation on medical care and medicine chests aboard ships, in force since 1 December 2021. On international voyages longer than three days with 100 or more crew, a doctor must be carried onboard; smaller crews need at least one appointed medical officer with a duty to consult a Tele Medical Assistance Service (TMAS).
Not every vessel is covered. TSFS 2021:80 1 kap. 3 § is explicit that the regulation "gäller inte fartyg i nationell sjöfart som trafikerar fartområde C–E" — vessels on national voyages in fartområde C–E, common among coastal CTVs and inshore craft, sit outside this duty entirely.

TSFS 2021:80, 2 kap. 4 § — Translation: in port, the medical officer may use a Tele Medical Assistance Service only when the help required cannot be obtained by other means.
That's the gap a commercial complement fills: continuity of care between voyages, and cover in the situations TMAS itself says it isn't for. For hazardous lone working, AFS 2023:2 requires "kontaktmöjligheter" [means of contact] to be in place — not a subscribed medical service, which remains a duty-of-care decision for the employer.
